Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Re: State Inspection- North County Landfill <br /> Facility No.- 39-AA-0022 <br /> Dear Mr. Valinoti: <br /> California Integrated Waste Management Board (Board) staff <br /> conducted a State Inspection, in conjunction with an inspection by <br /> Mr. Wickes of your agency, of the North County Landfill on January <br /> 24, 1992 pursuant to Public Resources Code (PRC) , Sections 43214 <br /> and 43219 (b) . The facility was evaluated for compliance with <br /> applicable sections of the PRC and Title 14, California Code of <br /> Regulations (CCR) . Enclosed are two copies of the State Inspection <br /> Report, one for your records and one for you to forward to the site <br /> operator. <br /> The overall appearance and condition of this facility is excellent. <br /> No violations of applicable State laws and regulations were <br /> documented during the inspection. However, one "area of concern" <br /> was noted regarding facility compliance with the following State <br /> Minimum Standard: <br /> 14 CCR 17704 Leachate Control <br /> As you are aware, the operator is required to take adequate steps <br /> to collect, treat, and dispose of leachate. Please contact Mr. <br /> Robert Evans of the Central Valley RWQCB at 916-361-5737 for <br /> guidance in determining the discharge requirements, if any, for the <br /> collected stormwater runoff. In anticipation of future storm <br /> events, please direct the operator to submit a plan that provides <br /> for the collection, treatment, and disposal of surface runoff from <br /> the active face. <br /> As always, this office is available to assist you. if you have <br /> questions or comments regarding this inspection report, please call <br /> Printed on Recycled Paper-- <br />
