The new wells will be triple -probe design, drilled to an elevation that extends at least to the lowe portion of the refuse base (approximately 57 ft navd). As discussed, we are evaluating options fj the probe construction, which we will submit when finalized. The wells shall be drilled by a licensed drilling contractor obtained by competitive bid. Wells will be logged by an experienced soils technician under the supervision of a geologist or geotechnical engineer based on the drill cuttings, and described using ASTM D2488-84 visual/manual procedure. We intend to hire one of the several consulting firms now under contract to the County to assist in the documentation of this construction.
