All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine is 1 ppm. Provide free chlorine 2ppm - 10 ppm today. Corrected on site. Free chlorine is <br />2.6 ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: Cyanuric acid is more than 100 ppm. Provide 0 ppm - 100 ppm at the end of the season after pool is <br />drained. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm. (CCR 65530) <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Double handrail is loose. Fix in 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br /> #38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br />OBSERVATIONS: Difference between the Influent and Effluent pressure is more than 10 PSI. Back wash filter today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3123B) Pressure gauge <br />located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 3125B) Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it <br />can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
