All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level of the pool is 0.6ppm. Immediately increase the chlorine level of the pool water to 2.0 <br />to 10.0ppm or face closure. <br />Corrected on site / approximately 1/2 gallon of chlorine was added. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #24 VGB Suction Covers MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The main drain cover is not sitting properly (per pool service tech, it was knocked loose when servicing <br />the pool). Provide a photo of correction of the main drain cover to Kadeanne Linhares (klinhares@sjgov.org / <br />209-616-3025). <br />Provide prior to re-opening the pool to swimmers. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All suction outlets shall be equipped with suction covers that meet the applicable ANSI/APSP-16 performance <br />standards. (CBC 3137B) <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Safety signage is lacking. Provide all required safety signage prior to re-opening the pool to swimmers. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br /> #35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: The flowmeter is not operating. Repair/replace by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
