All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level of the spa is 2.4 ppm. Increase the chlorine level of the spa to 3.0 to 10.0 ppm. <br />Correct immediately or face closure. <br />Corrected on site: re-check at the end of the inspection 4.6ppm <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: The combined chlorine level of the spa water is 0.8 ppm. Reduce the combined chlorine level to 0.4ppm <br />or less. Correct by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br />of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or <br />skin. (CCR 65531) <br /> #36 Pressure and Vacuum Gauges <br />OBSERVATIONS: The effluent gauge is "stuck." Repair/replace the effluent gauge by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pressure and vacuum gauges shall be provided for each pump system.
