COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br /> 1:00 pm <br />12:15 pm <br />Time Out: <br />Time In: <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Name of Facility: SONIC RIPON-COLONY LLC Date: 07/15/2021 <br />Address: 1483 W COLONY RD, RIPON 95366 <br />Owner/Operator: MCMILLIAN, SCOTT A Telephone: (209) 599-0127 <br />Program Element: 1600 - FOOD PROGRAM Complaint #: CO0053908 <br />Responsible Party Contact: <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />COMPLAINANT REPORTED THAT THE SONIC TATER TOTS WERE NOT EDIBLE; CONTAINED AN OLD TASTE. <br />COMPLAINANT FURTHER REPORTED THAT THE HOT DOG WAS COLD AND CONTAINED AND ODOR. WITHIN ONE <br />HOUR, COMPLAINANT AND HIS GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCED DIARRHEA, NAUSEA AND ABDOMINAL PAIN. <br />MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT SOUGHT. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br />113700. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately. Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br />the food facility. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />No Temperature Data Collected <br />FOOD ITEM -- LOCATION -- TEMP º F -- COMMENTS <br />NOTES <br />Complaint inspection. <br />As per manager, she is not aware of the complaint. No reported illness by employees. No employees working for other food <br />facilities, day care or health care facilities. Food manager certificate and food handler cards are valid and available on site. <br />Staff consuming food eaten by complainant. No out of the country traveling by employees. <br />Sonic Tater Tots is frozen potatoes, received frozen and kept in the walk in freezer then 2 D freezer by fryers station to be <br />cooked and kept on the hot hold to order. As per manager, they don't prepare big batches so food stays fresh. Hot dog is <br />received frozen then kept in walk in cooler ( 4 days supply) to be grilled and held on the hot hold to order. Walk in cooler and <br />hot dog stored in have temp at 41F. Walk in freezer is in good repair and all food in is totally frozen. I checked the cooking <br />temp of hot dog on griddle. It is at 180F. Steamer water temp is at 164. All food items on the hot hold are at 135F or <br />above.Accurate probe thermometer is available on site. Sanitizer buckets are set up with QUAT 200 ppm in different stations <br />at the back kitchen. Front and back hand sinks have hot water 100F or more, fully supplied with paper towels and soap and <br />fully accessible. Gloves are available. I observe employees washing hands between tasks during my inspection. Rest room is <br />available and operable with hot water 100F or more soap and paper towels. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
