Called complainant and he provided the FLORIDO <br /> following information regarding the parts cleaning fluid release: <br /> 1. The parts cleaner sits on top of a 55-gallon drum. Approx. 20 gallons of the <br /> parts cleaning fluid was inside and spilled from the drum. He thinks the fluid is <br /> diluted. Safety Kleen services the parts cleaner, and serviced it a few days after <br /> the spill to replace the fluid. He does not know the exact date in December 2020 <br /> when the spill occurred. He does not know the brand name or any other info about <br /> the parts cleaning fluid. <br /> 2. He does not have any photos. <br /> 3. He does not know where the floor drains go to. The drains impacted are in the <br /> mechanic shop. <br /> 4. He would like to think about whether or not he will go on record as a witness of <br /> the spill. He would like to know what EHD determines to do. <br /> He also mentioned that he is a former employee of the business, but he is still <br /> concerned. He also mentioned that the business has a large grinding department <br /> where they generate metal filings that need to be sorted, but are not. <br /> Discussed conducting a routine inspection of the facility with Garrett Backus, Ld Sr <br /> REHS. <br /> 06/04/2021 Reviewed narrative. Violations noted during routine hazardous waste inspection FLORIDO <br /> conducted at Acme Saw & Industrial Supply, 1204 E Main St in Stockton, on <br /> 5/12/2021. Refer to facility file PR0514196. To discuss complaint abatement with <br /> Garrett Backus. <br /> 07/06/2021 Received and reviewed emails from Melissa Nissim, CUPA Program Coordinator, FLORIDO <br /> and Garrett Backus, Ld Sr REHS, stating the complainant requests an update on <br /> this complaint. Reviewed complaint and facility narratives. Called and informed <br /> complainant that I conducted a routine hazardous waste inspection at the facility, <br /> violations were noted, and the facility is working on correcting the violations. <br /> Answered complainants questions. <br /> Submitted complaint to Garrett Backus, Ld Sr REHS, for abatement.
