Contacted Alex Steele with RUVALCABA
PG&E(209) 337-8902 and Alex confirmed information on the spill report. It was
stated the transformer was most likely vandalized, causing the release of
approximately 90 gallons of mineral oil. The site had an emergency underground
service alert(USA) performed and the cleanup would commence on 08/01/2018.
Per Lead Senior, drove out to site to take pictures of incident.
07/31/2018 Completion of Prop 65, narrative, photo log and notice to abate. RUVALCABA
08/07/2018 Arrived onsite at approximately 2:00 pm. Excavation was still in progress. One RUVALCABA
twenty yard container had been filled with soil and a second twenty yard container
was half full. Dave Larsen with PGE stated that the waste would not be classified
as hazardous waste. During the first visit it appeared as if though the oil had run
down grade from the pole where the transformer was vandalized. Upon closer
inspection of the area up grade from the pole and from the excavation it was
determined that what appeared to be the oil traveling down grade was actually a
substance added to the dirt road to keep dust down. Containers were left on site to
be picked up at a later time with proper equipment.
5105.rpt Page 1 of 1
