Created and entered complaint information. RUVALCABA <br /> Contacted the reporting party in the CalOES spill report, Tyler Hansberry with <br /> ERTS. Tyler stated that Schneider National had contacted them and that ERTS <br /> was just reporting the spill to comply with regulations, the cleanup had been <br /> performed on the day the spill was recovered, 05/29/2019. The cleanup was <br /> performed by Transportation Support Services (TSS).Contacted TSS CERS <br /> environmental contact. I was later called by TED MARTINEZ, the local contact <br /> with TSS and arranged to meet at the BNSF yard to look at the spill site. TED <br /> stated that the responsible party was Schneider and that TSS had performed the <br /> cleanup. We looked at the leaker area in the yard where the cleanup was <br /> performed. He was not sure where the container had been when the leak was <br /> discovered. He stated that two 55 gallon drums of waste were generated. The <br /> drums were kept near the TSS maintenance shop and were labeled as <br /> non-hazardous waste. Ted stated that the contents of the drums consisted of the <br /> absorbent used during the cleanup.Ted stated the waste would be picked and <br /> hauled by Safety Kleen when the shops hazardous waste would be picked up. <br /> Arrived at office a 4:30 pm <br /> 06/11/2019 Entered narrative from 06/07/2019. RUVALCABA <br /> completed prop 65 <br /> sent notice to abate to Sam Xiong with Schneider National. <br /> xionghl @schneider.com <br /> Spoke to Sam Xiong on the phone. It was stated by Sam that the spill was not <br /> reported on time because she was not aware of the California reporting <br /> requirements. Once she became aware of the reporting requirements, the <br /> notification was made. Sam stated that BNSF reported the leak to Schneider <br /> National on 05/29/2017. Schneider arranged for the cleanup. <br /> Reviewed email from Ted Martinezm, received on 6/11/2019. He provided pictured <br /> of the incident. It appeared as if the leaking drums were placed in overpack drums <br /> and shipped to the final destination. He stated that the leaking drums were placed <br /> back in the trailer with the rest of the load. <br /> 01/21/2020 Emailed TSS-Ted Martinez and Sam Xiong Schneider to try and get disposal RUVALCABA <br /> records. <br /> 5105.rpt Page 1 of 2 <br />
