All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR OBSERVATIONS:The chlorine level is too high at 15.5 ppm. Decrease and maintain at or between 2 and 10 ppm. Close the pool until proper level is obtained and call me at 616-3070 to authorize reopening. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) #3 Safety Signs OBSERVATIONS:The safety sign has no address or pool capacity listed. Write in large bold letters the facility address and the capacity. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535)Safety signs shall have clearly legible letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall,pole,gate, or similar permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 31208) #11 Combined Chlorine Concentration OBSERVATIONS:The combine chlorine level is too high at.5 ppm. Decrease and maintain at.4 ppm or lower. CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes,lungs,or skin. (CCR 65531) #13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration OBSERVATIONS:The cyanuric acid level is over 100 ppm. Decrease and maintain level under 100 ppm. Repeat violation. Correct by 30 days.
