Level: API -653 #36530 <br />Inspector: Gregory Fann <br />Summary: <br />The subject 1750 gallon capacity atmospheric storage tank was inspected per the above scope and evaluated per the specified STI SP -001. <br />The tank bottom was not accessable due to loation and plaement for visual and UT examination. Further details may be referenced in the attached <br />Checklist, Calculation sheet, TML report, Image sheet, or Drawing. <br />Results: <br />1) Light to moderate corrosion with unto 1/8" scale and pitting depths unto 1164". <br />2) Coating failure up to 90% of all surfaces. <br />3) Oil and debits on lank top. <br />4) Tlvouglr wall corrosion from the intern <br />al surface of the shell. <br />5) Internal corrosion in the bottom one inch of the shell. <br />6) Insufficient containment. <br />Recommendations: <br />I) Remove scale and coat to prevent further corrosion. <br />2) Remove previous coating and recoat. <br />3) Remove oil debits to prevent further corrosion. <br />4) Clean tank internals for a more detailed inspection and repairs or replace tank. <br />5) Clean lank internals for a more detailed inspection and repairs or replace tank. <br />6) Install curbs around tank or replace with double wall tank. <br />7) Continue scheduled inspection program per STI SP -001 and 04 <br />company policies and procedures. <br />
