The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been addressed for ESCALON UNIFIED SCHOOL DIST as of September 29, 2021. OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed on-site. The following used metal oil or fuel filter containers were on-site: -One black metal 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters was observed in the hazardous waste storage container without an accumulation start date and without a lid. -Bills of lading for drained used oil filters were not available for review during the inspection. REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil Filters. California Health&Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid, store them in closed, rainproof containers. Label the container with the words"drained used oil filters"or"used gasoline filters", depending on the contents. Mark the container with an accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored on-site greater than one year. Used filters not stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are regulated as hazardous waste.
