Discussed complaint with Elena Manzo, Ld Sr REHS. Drafted a letter
regarding the complaint to provide to the car owner.
Arrived on-site with Kristina Saetern, EHS, and observed the car (verified car with
the license plate number provided on the Cal OES spill report) parked in front of
the property and observed wet oil stains beneath the car. Took photos. The car
was not actively leaking at the time of inspection. No storm drains appeared to be
impacted by the oil. Walked across the street to 308 E Yosemite Ave and spoke to
Eddie and Linda. Eddie stated he owns the property. Eddie and Linda stated that
the car belongs to Michelle, who lives at the property. Spoke to Michelle Ramirez,
who stated that she owns the car, she is aware that the car leaks oil, and she is
working on getting it fixed. Notified Michelle to get her car fixed to prevent oil from
spilling onto the ground and possibly entering a storm drain. Informed Michelle
that she should place a drain pan beneath her car until she is able to get it fixed,
and any waste that she may generate, such as used oil or used kitty litter from
cleaning up oil on the ground, can be disposed of at the San Joaquin County
Household Hazardous Waste (SJC HHVV) facility. I provided Michelle with the SJC
HHW brochure and a letter notifying her of the complaint, hazardous waste
disposal solutions, and that subsequent complaints may require EHD to bill her.
Michelle understood and stated she will get her car fixed. Michelle provided her
email (my3fatcats123@gmail.com). Left site for EHD.
Arrived at EHD. Updated Elena Manzo, Ld Sr REHS, on the complaint. Called and
updated the complainant on the complaint. Completed Emergency Response
Record form.
Submitted complaint to Elena Manzo, Ld Sr REHS, to be abated.
5105 rpt Page 1 of 1
