All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The length of the pool is 1 00f and width is 75Feet. <br />Provide life ring and rescue pole on 2 opposing sides the pool (only one of each is available at this time). <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed -length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17 -inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Hand rail is loose at deep end of pool near diving board. Tighten. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 31 11B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained.
