Before sampling, each well will
be purged by the removal of four or five casing volumes of water
with a precleaned bailer. Purged water will be filtered through
activated carbon and put into 55--gallnr drums. A sample of the
filtered water will be taken for total petroleum hydrocarbon
analysis. All drums will be stored in EA' s warehouse until
k
sample results are received and then disposed of appropriately.
Ground-water samples will be collected with precleaned Teflon
bailers . All water samples will be collected in appropriate
containers with I Teflon-lined caps and preserved with either
hydrochloric orisulfuric acid. All samples will be labeled,
placcd on ice, and shipped under chall, ul custody to the state-
certified laboratory. Samples will be analyzed for TPH and VOA
using the mndif.iPA FPA mini-hn% 624 , 9019, 8020, 8ai0i and 0015,
f as 'appropriate.l
In addition to these field activities, sufficient information on
regional goology and hydrogeology will UQ UVIIV ; Wd, d1ld can thA
c12/ 10118 . 04 3
