REHS
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated August 14, 2021 and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OWTS) usage and the potential long-term impact of nitrate to groundwater from the proposed three-
bedroom assisted living facility.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings:
1. The Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study supports the suitability for the proposed OWTS usage. The
proposed OWTS includes a 2,000 -gallon septic tank connected to a 1,200 -gallon septic tank. The
septic tanks will connect to a 1,296 square feet filter bed, which will connect to the three seepage pits.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Senior Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3018.
Steven Shih, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Chesney Consulting-P.O.
