Per Karen Rith (Store Manager), if there was a spill <br /> of Meguiar's Quik Wax she would clean it with paper towels and throw the soiled paper towels in the oily debris <br /> drum or the trash. According to the AutoZone training manuel spill clean-up material should be placed in a plastic <br /> bag with the leaking container and placed in the appropriate bucket. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees. Provide proof of training within 30 days to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br /> OBSERVATION: Designated facility signed and dated copies of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests (UHWM) <br /> were not found on-site. The missing manifests are: <br /> -013120773FLE (6/21/2019) <br /> -006960233SKS (6/12/2019) <br /> -006952652SKS (1/30/2019) <br /> -006391772SKS (9/10/2018) <br /> -006391773SKS (9/10/2018) <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance <br /> with section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility <br /> which received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the <br /> waste was accepted by the initial transporter. The hazardous waste generator must submit a copy of the manifest <br /> to the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)within 60 days if the destination facility signed <br /> manifest copy is not received from the transporter or designated facility. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Locate the destination facility signed manifests listed above and maintain in the facility file <br /> for three years from the date of shipping.
