2309 West Hammer Lane PR0521332 <br /> September 2, 2021 Program: HW <br /> PHOTO 2: AutoZone training/spill clean-up policy. <br /> Anywaste generated in the processof cleaning up a chemical product spill will also be <br /> placed and sealed in a zip lock bag along with the same product.The lid for each waste <br /> bucket will remain tightly closed,except when adding waste to the bucket. <br /> ABATEMENT <br /> In the event of a fire,Store will be evacuated immediately using verbal commands <br /> regardless of the size of the fire.Management will notify the local Fire Department.If sate to <br /> do so,employees will attempt to control the fire using fire extinguishers located throughout <br /> the store.If a large fire breaks out,AutoZoners and customers will be directed to <br /> immediately leave the store.The Fire Department will be contacted from a safe location. <br /> Small Spills-In the event of a small spill of antifreeze or oil,AutoZone employees will <br /> respond using rags,clay absorbent,or paper towels to absorb the released materials.As <br /> part of the process,AutoZoners will work the absorbent into the spill until all of the liquid <br /> material is absorbed.The waste generated during the clean-up of the oil or antifreeze spills <br /> will be placed into the used absorbent drum. <br /> Small spills resulting from damaged or leaking retail chemical waste products will be <br /> cleaned-up using clay absorbents,paper towels,or rags.The leaking container along with <br /> all absorbent waste generated will be placed in a bag and placed into the appropriate Retail <br /> Chemical Waste bucket(Reference:Safety Health Environmental Policy In the event an <br /> AutoZoner is unsure of the proper container the waste should be placed in,they will contact <br /> the Retail Waste Contractor(Environmental Hotline 1-800-459-8709 or Environmental <br /> Specialist 1-901-495-7217)for proper guidance. <br /> Large Spills-A large spill is a release that exceeds the capability of the AutoZone <br /> employee(s)to effectively clean up the released material in a timely fashion.AutoZoners will <br /> deploy clay absorbents to build a berm or dike,in an attempt to contain the further spread of <br /> the spill and to protect sensitive areas such as soil or storm drains from contamination. <br /> Store Management will contact EHS Velocity to dispatch an emergency response contractor <br /> to the store.Any waste that is generated from the clean-up will be contained and properly <br /> disposed of by the contractor.All manifests or bills of lading will be kept for three years. <br /> Lydia Baker, SR.
