Waste Management Plan Report <br /> General Order No. R5-2013-0122,Attachment B <br /> When solids/sludge accumulate to a thickness of 2.0 feet, the following method will be used to maintain adequate <br /> storage capacity while protecting any pond liner: <br /> Storage is agitated and solids are pumped out during irrigation. Remaining solids are removed with the use of an <br /> excavator or pumped out with the use of slurry tankers. <br /> OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE PLAN FOR POND: Wastewater Storage Pond #2 <br /> Dry season freeboard monitoring will occur on the 5th of each month. <br /> Wet season freeboard monitoring will occur every Monday of each week. <br /> Process wastewater pond contents will be lowered to the minimum operating level (elevation) of 1.0 feet above the <br /> pond invert beginning in March of each year. <br /> Sludge accumulation will be measured semiannually. <br /> The following method will be used to measure solids/sludge accumulation: <br /> Storage is visually monitored to evaluate solids accumulation. <br /> When solids/sludge accumulate to a thickness of 2.0 feet, the following method will be used to maintain adequate <br /> storage capacity while protecting any pond liner: <br /> Storage is agitated and solids are pumped out during irrigation. Remaining solids are removed with the use of an <br /> excavator or pumped out with the use of slurry tankers. <br /> B. RAINFALL COLLECTION SYSTEM MAINTENANCE <br /> i. Annually, rainfall collection systems will be assessed to ensure: <br /> 1. Conveyances are free of debris and operating within designer/manufacturer specifications. <br /> 2. Components are properly fastened according to designer/manufacturer specifications. <br /> 3. All downspouts and related infrastructure are connected to conveyances that divert water away from manured areas. <br /> 4.
