Hutchinson Road, Manteca 95377
APN: 25724067, SR0084095
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading Study (SSNL) dated August 16, 2021 for the above noted location and has the following comments
for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OWTS) usage and the potential long-term nitrate loading impact to groundwater for the following
proposed walnut bulk storage building.
Based on the information provided the EHD can make the following findings:
a. Based on the information provided the EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability for
standard OWTS usage for the proposed development pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance
Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d).
b. Percolation test conducted on August 10, 2021 yield a percolation rate of 16.7 min/inch. At this rate
an 8' soil separation is required between bottom of dispersal field and the groundwater; The SSNL
reports a historic groundwater level of 15 feet below surface grade. (San Joaquin County OWTS
Standard Table 1.10.2).
If you have any questions please contact Aaron Gooderham, Registered Environmental Health Specialist,
REHS, at agooderham@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3062.
r
Steven Shih, REHS
Program Coordinator
CC: Chris Van Groningen
9851 HUTCHINSON RD
MANTECA, CA 95337
XATTrED
1868 E.
