Kettleman Trane, Lodi, CA <br /> Dear Ms. Wallberg: <br /> American Savings is willing to grant ARCO Petroleum Products <br /> ("ARCO") permission to install t�- � groundwater monitoring wells in the <br /> parking lot of the American Savings Branch at 514 West Kettleman Lane, <br /> Lodi, on the conditions described below. If you find these acceptable, <br /> please have ARCO sign, date and return a copy of this letter. <br /> 1) ARCO shall be granted permission to install two monitoring <br /> wells of the type described in Figure 2, "Typical Groundwater <br /> Monitoring Well Construction". <br /> 2) The actual location of these wells will be agreed upon in <br /> advance by representatives of American Savings and ARCO. <br /> These locations must be chosen so as to cause minimal <br /> disruption to the operations of American's branch. <br /> 3) Drilling and installation of the two wells shall be done in a <br /> manner so as to minimize the disruption of American's branch <br /> operations. No drilling shall take place in a manner which <br /> interferes with ingress or egress from the branch and parking <br /> lot, or with the operation of any drive-up teller operations <br /> during normal branch banking hours. <br /> 4) ARCO agrees to clean the site and remove all drilling and <br /> related debris upon completion of the well installations. <br /> 5) Any and all damage to the parking lot and landscaping caused <br /> by ARCO or its employees, agents, invitees or contractors <br /> shall be imediately repaired and restored to the condition in <br /> which said parking lot and landscaping existed <br /> prior to ARCO's drilling activities. <br /> American Savings and Loan Association, 42 N.
