We understand that
you are planning to place two new modular homes on the Site , and the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department is requiring the completion of a percolation test before the
septic permits can be issued .
Soil_Borings
On June 28 , 2021 , Live Oak excavated a shallow soil boring on the Site for the purpose of
percolation testing . The boring was four inches in diameter , 2 . 30 feet deep , and was
excavated by hand auger . The location of the boring is indicated on the attached Plate 2 .
Soil_ Log
The soil in the boring , was observed to be silty clay to the full depth of the hole .
Preparation and_ Presaturation _of_ Percolation Test Holes
After the boring was advanced , the test hole was completed for the percolation testing .
Approximately two inches of pea gravel were placed in the bottom of the open soil boring ,
followed by a 2 . 0 - inch diameter PVC pipe with perforations on the bottom .
