S A N J 0 A Q I I I Irl Environmental Health Department <br /> CCUN Y <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> Pilot Travel Center Lathrop- 1017 345 Roth Rd, FRENCH CAMP July 20, 2021 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: <br /> -Tanks T3,T5, and T9 were observed leaking from the piping after the pump parallel to the ground. <br /> -Oily absorbent was observed on the ground around the diesel delivery pipes of the eastern tank farm. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately fix the leak and cleanup diesel and oily absorbent. Manage the waste <br /> according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final <br /> disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: The secondary containment for both diesel fill and bio diesel fill pipes were observed full of liquid. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility spill control equipment shall be maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br /> operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring into proper working order by removing the liquid in the secondary containment and <br /> placing in the proper waste container.
