See Photo log <br /> #7. <br /> -One white 55 drum observed in the Waste Storage Containers area does not have a lid. See Photo log#7. <br /> -One blue 55 drum observed in the Waste Storage Container area does not have a lid. See Photo log#7. <br /> -One green 55 drum observed in the Waste Storage Container area is open. See Photo log#7. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Empty hazardous waste or material container greater than 5 gallons not managed per this section. <br /> OBSERVATION: <br /> -Two plastic blue 55 drum gallon drums observed in the bone yard without labels"empty"and start date. See Photo <br /> log#1. <br /> -One plastic white 55 drum gallon drum observed in the bone yard on a pallet without labels"empty"and start date. <br /> See Photo log#2. <br /> -One plastic blue 55 drum gallon drum observed in the bone yard on a pellet without labels"empty"and start date. <br /> See Photo log#2. <br /> -Six plastic white 275 gallon totes observed in the bone yard stacked on top of each other without labels"empty" <br /> and start date. See Photo log#4&#3. <br /> -Two plastic white 275 gallon totes observed in the bone yard without cage and without labels"empty"and start <br /> date. See Photo log#5. <br /> -Two plastic blue 55 drums observed in the bone yard between totes without labels"empty"and start date. See <br /> Photo log#5. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Empty containers which previously held a hazardous material, including hazardous <br /> waste must be managed per Title 22 California Code of Regulations(CCR)section 66261.7. Refer to this section <br /> and California Department of Toxic Substances Control guidance for more information. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label all empty containers with the date they were emptied and manage <br /> within one year of that date. Manage the container per Title 22 CCR section 66261.7.
