All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool chlorine level is 0.0 ppm. Immediately increase the pool water chlorine level to the range of 2.0 <br />to 10.0 ppm. <br />This is a closure condition. Correct immediately or face closure of the pool. <br /> Liquid chlorine added at pool and dosage turned up. Re-check of chlorine is 1.4ppm at digital display sample port and 1.6 <br />ppm at pool water. <br />Unable to correct on site. Pool shall remain closed until the chlorine level is at 2.0-10.0ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH level is greater than 8.0. Immediately decrease the pool water pH level to the range of 7.2 to 7.8. <br />This is a closure condition. Correct immediately or face closure of the pool. <br /> Acid was added / dosage turned up. Re-check of pH at digital display sample port is greater than 8.0 and at pool water is <br />greater than 8.0. <br />Unable to correct on site. Pool shall remain closed until the pH is 7.2 to 7.8 <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool has algae at the plaster, at the light rings and at the tile grout line. Take action to eliminate <br />algae. Correct ASAP. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
