The 6-inch well casing does not have a <br /> secured covering and provides an opening,which could result in the possible contamination <br /> of the underground aquifer and the possibility of personal injury. This is in violation of the <br /> San Joaquin County Ordinance Code,Title 9, Section 9-1115.5 and 9-1115.9. <br /> The well casing shall be covered with a secured lid or cap that requires tools or equipment to <br /> remove, within 7 days of receipt of this letter(San Joaquin County Well Standards, Section <br /> 4.9.2, and 5.1). This well shall be destroyed by a licensed C57 contractor under permit and <br /> inspected by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division, or you must obtain an <br /> "Out-of-Service"well permit.
