Tanks are empty and do not have a sign that stated "permanently closed"and with a date.
REGULATION GUIDANCE: When a tank is not in use, it must be permanently closed by meeting the following
conditions:
-remove all liquid and sludge from each container and connecting line
-disconnect and blank off all connecting lines and piping have from the tank/container
-close and lock all valves
-post a sign conspicuously stating that it is a permanently closed container and denoting the date of closure.
CORRECTIVE ACTION: Tanks that are not being used or are not addressed in the Spill Prevention, Control, and
Countermeasure(SPCC)Plan must either be included in your plan or meet the permanent closure requirements
noted above. Provide verification to the EHD of proper closure of the tanks.
This is a minor violation.
FA0006141 PR0524264 SCO01 10/04/2021
EHD 28-01 Rev.9/16/2020 Page 4 of 10 Aboveground Petroleum Storage Act OIR
1868 E.
