i. 9Rei lly AUTO PARTS
O'Reilly Auto Parts Supplemental Team member Training
Information
Methods for Safe Handling Hazardous Materials:
New team members are trained in the proper handling, recording and storage of Hazardous Materials.
They are trained to read/understand the SDS and the proper use of PPE such as safety glasses,
corrosive resistant nitrile gloves and protective apron. The hazardous material business plan
(HMBP) is reviewed at least annually and mandatory monthly safety meetings cover hazardous
material and hazardous waste awareness. All Team member training records are maintained
electronically through the TeamNet store training LMS modules. Hazardous storage area
inspection sheets are maintained by the Store Manager. Inspection sheets include the Daily Image
Maker, the monthly store safety inspection and the comprehensive annual store safety inspection.
Unannounced inspections conducted by both our corporate safety field managers and loss
prevention auditors helps to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Procedures for Coordinating Activities with Response Agencies:
All managers will review the emergency response plan and emergency notification procedures. This
ensures compliance and coordination with local agencies and clean-up personnel.
Proper use of On-Site Emergency Response Equipment by Team members:
All team members will complete training to include daily, weekly, monthly and annual inspection
procedures for store emergency response equipment such as fire extinguishers and eye wash stations.
Familiarization with the Business Emergency Response Plans and Procedures:
All team members receive annual training on Emergency Response Plan Implementation. The
training will review emergency response plan, evacuation, and location of emergency shut-off
switches and specific responsibilities of all team members during an emergency. In addition, all
managers are trained on procedures for coordination with emergency response agencies. The
Hazardous Material Business Plan and facility diagrams are kept onsite in an accessible location by
the store manager. Copies of the HMBP are maintained by the corporate Safety and Environmental
Coordinator and can be sent to the store upon request.
O'Reilly Auto Parts Revised 09/14
