STATE OF CALIFORNIA California Integrated Waste <br /> CIWMB 03 (Rev. 4/04) Management Board <br /> INSPECTION REPORT ADDENDUM PAGE 2 OF 2 <br /> AGENCY CONDUCTING INSPECTION: San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> SITE NUMBER: 39-AA-0008 INSPECTOR: Frank Girardi <br /> SITE NAME: Lovelace Transfer Station <br /> RECEIVED BY <br /> INSPECTION DATE: 06/16/06 OPERATOR <br /> COMMENTS: <br /> 1. Note Special occurrence log noted incident that occurred on April 24,2006(during last routine inspection)involving <br /> customer self haul vehicle backed partially off tipping floor.(AC Cleared). <br /> 2. Note Eye wash station near hazardous waste storage locker was accessible(AC cleared). <br /> 3. Note Very low waste pile volume observed at time of inspection with ample floor space and very low congestion. <br /> Records indicated that there were 40 outbound trips on June 14,2006. Waste piles heights on tipping floor were <br /> well below 12 feet in height. <br /> 4.Note Compactor was not in operation and parked on waste tires at time of inspection. Operator indicated that waste tires <br /> are used to reduce risk of fire hazard. EHD discourages this use of waste tires(waste tires are highly flammable). <br /> EHD recommends use of dimensional lumber. Tires are not acceptable. <br /> 5. Notes: <br /> A. Rodent bait stations with rodent killer(PVC pipe and plastic container)currently used for rodent control present in <br /> all rodent stations. Rodent zapper no longer used. Observed dead rodent in proximity to one of the stations. <br /> Remove dead rodent. Continue rodent control program. <br /> B. Compactor was not in operation at time of inspection. Be sure to operate compactor in accordance with the SWFP <br /> and TPR. <br /> C. Observed u-waste stored in u-waste bins on tipping floor,public side,and commercial side area. <br /> D. Dust levels were low at time of inspection. Misters were being used for added control. Misters(warped by fire) <br /> were adequately functioning at time of inspection. <br /> E.
