GENERAL MECHANICAL <br />MATERIALS AND METHODS <br />Section 15050 <br />15-1207 <br />J. Equipment identification shall be mounted at each piece of equipment. <br />1. When equipment is located above ceiling, equipment identification shall be mounted <br />so that it is visible from the access platform side of the unit. <br />3.08 MOTORS: <br />A. Motors furnished in the Mechanical Work shall be furnished by the Mechanical Contractor, <br />but such equipment shall be delivered to the Electrical Contractor for mounting and <br />connecting to power wiring. Coordinate all motor starter requirements with Electrical <br />Contractor. <br />3.09 MOTR STARTERS SWITCHES, AND WIRING: <br />A. Starters located in motor control centers will be provided under the Electrical Work. <br />Contractor is referred to electrical drawings for motors served by motor control centers. <br />B. Starters furnished by the Mechanical Contractor to be delivered to the Electrical Contractor <br />for mounting and connecting to power wiring. Coordinate all motor starter requirements with <br />Electrical Contractor. <br />3.10 FIREPROOFING: <br />A. Pack the annular space between the pipe sleeves and the pipe and between duct openings <br />and ducts through all floors and walls with UL listed fire stop. <br />B. Fireproofing system to be installed in strict accordance with manufacturer's written <br />instructions and details. <br />3.11 PAINTING: <br />A. Perform all priming and painting on the equipment and materials as specified herein. <br />B. Exposed piping and unfinished portions of equipment to be painted shall be cleaned of <br />grease, oil, rust, or dirt in preparation for painting. <br />C. Where applicable, remove pipe clamps prior to painting so that entire pipe is painted. <br />Provide temporary support as required. Re -install clamps after priming/painting is complete. <br />D. Priming: <br />Contractor to prime all exposed ferrous metals, including piping, which are not <br />galvanized or factory -finished. <br />a. Black steel pipe exposed to weather shall be cleaned and primed with one <br />coat of Rust-Oleum, or equal, #1069 primer. Color to be Grey. <br />E. See Painting Section for detailed requirements. <br />11 <br />
