MECHANICAL INSULATION <br />Section 15250 <br />15-1207 <br />3.04 INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT INSULATION: <br />A. Clean and dry all surfaces prior to insulating. <br />B. Install insulation materials with smooth and even surfaces. Do not use mastic or joint sealer <br />as filler for gapping joints and excessive voids resulting in poor workmanship. <br />C. Do not apply insulation to equipment breechings or stacks while hot. <br />D. Do not insulate manholes, handholds, cleanouts, nameplate, ASME stamp. Provide <br />beveled edge at interruptions of insulation. <br />3.05 INSULATION REPAIR: <br />A. Repair damaged sections of existing and/or new mechanical insulation where damaged <br />occurred during this construction period. Use insulation of same thickness as existing <br />insulation. Install new jacket lapping and seal over existing. <br />3.06 CARE AND CLEANING: <br />A. Repair and/or replace broken, damaged and or other wise defective insulation. Work to be <br />completed to the satisfaction of the Architect. At completion of work, clean materials <br />installed as part of this work and leave systems and equipment in satisfactory operating <br />condition. <br />B. Upon completion of work remove materials, equipment, tools from premises. Leave project <br />area neat, clean and orderly. <br />END OF SECTION <br />5 <br />
