PLUMBING EQUIPMENT <br />Section 15450 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 —GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. This specification section includes plumbing equipment, including: <br />1. Electric Heat Trace <br />2. Gas Fired Tankless Water Heater <br />3. Potable Water Expansion Tanks <br />1.02 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Plumbing Fixture Standards: Comply with applicable portions of the following codes and <br />requirements for all work in this section: <br />1. California Plumbing Code — CPC <br />2. American National Standards Institute —ANSI <br />3. Federal Standards - F.S. <br />B. Manufacturers: Firms regularly engaged in manufacture of plumbing equipment of type <br />and sizes required, whose products have been in satisfactory use in similar service for <br />not less than 5 years. <br />C. Grade or quality of materials desired is indicated by trade names or catalog numbers <br />stated herein. <br />D. Dimensions, sizes, and capacities shown are minimum and shall not be changed without <br />permission of Architect. <br />E. UL and NEMA Compliance: Provide electric motors and electrical components required <br />as part of plumbing equipment, which have been listed and labeled by Underwriters <br />Laboratories and comply with NEMA standards. <br />F. Water heaters to Comply with ANSI/ASHRAE/IES 90A for energy efficiency. <br />G. NEC Compliance: Comply with National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70) as applicable <br />to installation and electrical connections of ancillary electrical components of plumbing <br />equipment. <br />H. California Energy Commission Compliance: Provide written confirmation of listing of all <br />water heaters in the "Directory of Certified Water Heaters," latest edition. <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Product data: submit complete data of materials proposed including: <br />1. Manufacturer and model number <br />2. Clearly indicate all options, trim, and accessories. <br />3. Cross reference manufacturer's cut sheet to fixture callout ID on submittal sheet. <br />B. Operation and Maintenance Data: submit complete O&M data including: <br />1. Maintenance data and parts lists for each type of fixture. <br />2. Provide "trouble- shooting" maintenance guide <br />3. Include this data within maintenance manual <br />
