SITE ELECTRICAL WORK, GENERAL <br />REQUIREMENTS <br />Section 16000 <br />15-1207 <br />b. From the Architect for Owner -furnished, Contractor -installed equipment. <br />C. From the Architect for existing equipment where such equipment is relocated as <br />part of the Work of this Contract. <br />2. Verify electrical characteristics of equipment before starting rough -in. <br />3. Unless otherwise shown or specified, equipment which requires electrical connection shall <br />be installed as part of the Work of the Division in which specified. Internal components shall <br />be wired to a single point with wiring in raceway direct connection (hardwired) to building <br />electrical system or internal wiring and connections with cord and plug for receptacle <br />connection to building wiring. <br />4. Unless otherwise shown or specified, provide direct raceway and conductor connections <br />from building wiring system to equipment terminals for direct -connected equipment terminals <br />for direct -connected equipment which is Contractor -furnished and Contractor -installed, <br />Owner -furnished and Contractor -installed, and for existing equipment relocated by the <br />Contractor. <br />5. Insert plug in receptacle for cord -connected equipment which is Contractor -furnished and <br />Contractor -installed, Owner -furnished and Contractor -installed and for existing equipment <br />relocated by the Contractor. Provide new cord and plug if required on Owner -furnished and <br />Contractor -installed equipment. <br />6. Provide disconnect switches, flush type in finished spaces, where shown or required by <br />Codes for direct -connected equipment. <br />7. Disconnect existing equipment from building electrical system, disconnect internal wiring <br />required for relocation of existing equipment, and reconnect at new location for existing <br />equipment relocated. <br />1.12 TEMPORARY WIRING: <br />A. Furnish and install temporary wiring and maintain power to the facility. <br />B. Whenever Work makes it necessary to cut off a circuit, either a feeder or branch circuit, and it <br />stands to remain out of service for some time, make temporary connections so remaining outlets <br />or load will continue to be energized. Facility will remain in operation during construction and <br />Contractor shall make every effort to keep electrical circuits, which includes power, telephone <br />system, etc., in operation. Some outlets and wiring in remodel area will remain undisturbed. <br />Reconnect these circuits, extending where necessary so all circuits will operate satisfactorily <br />upon completion of job. Existing fire alarm and intrusion alarm system must be operational when <br />workman leave job at the end of the day. <br />C. Where power outages are unavoidable, such outages shallbe scheduled in advance with <br />Building Manager and shall occur at such times as to cause the least disruption of the normal <br />facility functions. <br />D. Building Manager shall be notified at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance of any power <br />shutdown, and shutdown shall be at convenience of Owner. No allowance for overtime labor <br />during such period shall be allowed under this Contract. <br />1.13 GUARANTEE: <br />a <br />0 <br />
