MEETINGS <br />Section 01040 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 GENERAL <br />A. The Architect shall make arrangements for meetings, prepare agenda with copies for <br />participants, preside at meetings, record minutes, and distribute copies to the Owner, Project <br />Inspector, Contractor, participants, and others affected by the decisions made. <br />B. Attendance required: Project superintendent, project manager (if any), major <br />subcontractors (as requested), architect, inspector, and others as appropriate to the meeting <br />topics. <br />1.03 PRE -CONSTRUCTION MEETING <br />A. The Architect will schedule a pre -construction meeting upon issuing a notice of intent to <br />award the contract. Agenda may include discussion of the following items: <br />1. Temporary facilities and use of the site. <br />2. Schedule of values. <br />3. Construction schedule. <br />4. Designation of personnel representing the parties to the contract; lines of <br />communication. <br />5. Submittals; submittal schedule. <br />6. Record drawings. <br />7. Progress payments. <br />8. Change orders and time extensions. <br />9. Inspection and testing. <br />10. Accepted alternates. <br />1.04 WEEKLY PROJECT MEETINGS <br />A. The Architect will schedule and run weekly project meetings throughout the project to review <br />the short-term project schedule and to discuss issues requiring resolution. It is the duty of the <br />Contractor to attend, participate in, and comply with the agreements reached and direction <br />set at these meetings. <br />1.05 MONTHLY MEETINGS <br />A. The Architect shall schedule and run monthly meetings for the purpose of assessing <br />progress, approving payment, resolving problems, and addressing mid-range and long-range <br />scheduling issues. <br />1.06 SPECIAL MEETINGS <br />A. The Architect may occasionally schedule special meetings for the purpose of discussing work <br />requiring a significant coordination effort or for resolving issues which require more attention <br />than they can be given in the regularly scheduled meetings.
