C. <br />9 <br />2. <br />3 <br />4. <br />EARTHWORK <br />Section 02200 <br />15-1207 <br />DTSC testing shall include documentation as to the previous land use, location, <br />and history. Soils shall be analyzed for all compounds of concern to ensure the <br />imported soil is uncontaminated and acceptable. Testing shall be performed per <br />the recommendations included in DTSC Imported Fill Advisory <br />http://www.dtsc.ca.gov/Schools/upload/SMP FS Cleanfill-Schools.pdf). Soils shall <br />be tested prior to import to the project site. <br />Lab shall determine geographically which tests and analysis comparison will be <br />appropriate for the testing. (CAM 17 / Title 22); (RWQCB) Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board; or (OEHHA) Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment. <br />Frequency of testing shall be conducted in accordance with DTSC's Imported Fill <br />Advisory as follows; <br />Fill Material Sampling Schedule <br />Area Of Individual Borrow Area Sampling Requirements <br />2 Acres or less Minimum of 4 samples <br />2 to 4 Acres Minimum of 1 sample every '/z Acre <br />4 to 10 Acres Minimum of 8 Samples <br />Greater than 10 Acres Minimum of 8 locations with 4 subsamples <br />per location <br />Volume of Borrow Area Stockpile <br />Up to 1,000 Cubic Yards 1 sample per 250 cubic yards <br />1,000 to 5,000 Cubic Yards 4 samples for the first 1000 cubic Yards + 1 <br />sample per each additional 500 cubic yards <br />Greater than 5,000 Cubic Yards 12 samples for the first 5,000 cubic yards + <br />1 sample per each additional 1,000 cubic <br />yards <br />5. Reports/ Documentation <br />a. Results of the testing analysis shall be sent to the Owner; Architect; <br />Project Inspector, Project Civil Engineer, DTSC, and DSA. Letter shall <br />reference DSA file and application numbers. <br />Landscape Backfill Material: <br />1. The top 4" of native topsoil stripped from the site may be used for landscape backfill <br />material provided it meets the requirements as specified in Section jLandscapel. <br />2. Imported Topsoil may be required to complete work. See Section fLandscapel for <br />requirements. Proposed Topsoil material shall comply with DTSC guidelines to <br />include Phase 1 environmental site assessment and related tests. Refer to the <br />October 2001 DTSC Information Advisory for clean imported fill material. <br />Water: Furnish all required water for construction purposes, including compaction and dust <br />control. <br />7 <br />
