FINISH CARPENTRY AND <br />MILLWORK <br />Section 06200 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br />A. Section 01350, Environmental Requirements. <br />B. Section 05400, Cold Formed Metal Framing. <br />C. Section 06100, Rough Carpentry. <br />D. Section 07900, Joint Sealants. <br />E. Section 08100, Metal Doors & Frames. <br />F. Section 08710, Finish Hardware. <br />G. Section 08800, Glazing. <br />H. Section 09900, Painting. <br />I. Section 12304, Prefinished Plastic Laminate Casework. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Use only new materials and products, unless existing materials or products are specifically <br />shown otherwise on the Drawings to be salvaged and re -used. <br />B. Use materials and products of one manufacturer whenever possible. <br />C. All materials, components, assemblies, workmanship and installation are to be observed by <br />the Owner's Inspector of Record. Work not so inspected is subject to uncovering and <br />replacement. <br />D. Work shall be done under direction of a capable foreman experienced in installation of finish <br />carpentry work. <br />E. Carefully plan and lay out all finish work; cooperate with other trades. <br />F. Workmanship shall be of highest quality. Materials that are marred or otherwise damaged <br />during installation shall be immediately replaced at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />G. All millwork shall be manufactured in accordance with the standards in the latest edition of the <br />Woodwork Institute, Architectural Woodwork Standards, in the grade or grades hereinafter <br />specified or shown on the drawings. Grade mark and mill identification shall appear distinctly <br />legible on back of each piece of lumber. No marks shall appear in exposed faces of work to <br />receive transparent or semi -transparent finishes. <br />
