THERMOPLASTIC MEMBRANE <br />ROOFING - ADHERED <br />Section 07541 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL CONDITIONS <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Scope <br />To install a complete adhered Sika Sarnafil roofing system including membrane, flashings <br />and other components. <br />B. Related Work <br />The work includes but is not limited to the installation of: <br />1. Removal of Existing Roofing and Insulation <br />2. Substrate Preparation <br />3. Roof Drains <br />4. Vapor Barrier <br />5. Wood Blocking <br />6. Insulation <br />7. Separation Layers <br />8. Roof Membrane <br />9. Fasteners <br />10. Adhesive for Flashings <br />11. Roof Membrane Flashings <br />12. Walkways <br />13. Metal Flashings <br />14. Sealants <br />C. Upon successful completion of work the following warranties may be obtained: <br />Sika Sarnafil Warranty <br />Roofing Applicator Warranty <br />1.02 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. This roofing system shall only be installed by a Roofing Applicator authorized by Sika <br />Corporation prior to bid. No sub -contracting by an unauthorized applicator to an authorized <br />Sika Sarnafil applicator will be allowed. <br />B. Upon completion of the installation and the delivery to Sika Corporation by the applicator of <br />certification that all work has been done in strict accordance with the contract specifications <br />and Sika Sarnafil's requirements, a Sika Sarnafil Technical Service Representative will <br />review the installed roof system when a System Warranty has been specified. <br />C. There shall be no deviations made from the Project Specification or the approved shop <br />drawings without prior written approval by the Owner, the Owner's Representative and Sika <br />Sarnafil. <br />D. The roofing membrane manufacturer is to guarantee the membrane thickness provided for <br />this project is equal to or greater than that which is specified. <br />2 <br />
