OVERHEAD COILING DOORS <br />Section 08330 <br />15-1207 <br />downward travel of the door. <br />b. The Featheredge shall consist of a rubber boot attached below the bottom bar <br />with an electrical switch secured to the back of the bottom bar. The Featheredge <br />shall operate with air wave technology and shall not rely on pneumatic pressure <br />or electrical strip contacts to operate properly. The Featheredge shall create an <br />air wave that shall be detected and reverse the direction of the rolling door. <br />C. The operation of the Featheredge shall not be subject to interferences by <br />temperature, barometric pressure, water infiltration, or cuts in the rubber boot. <br />3. Provide metal motor cover. Finish to match door curtain. <br />E. Locking Mechanisms: <br />The door shall be secured by means of a concealed sliding bolt deadlock in the bottom <br />bar operated by a cylinder lock. Lock to match building type and to be keyed to master. <br />Provide 4 keys. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A. Prior to installation of this work, carefully inspect and verify that the installed work of all other <br />trades is complete to the point where this installation may properly commence. <br />B. Verify that specified items may be installed in accordance with the approved design. <br />C. In the event of discrepancy, immediately notify Architect. Do not proceed in discrepant areas <br />until all such discrepancies have been fully resolved. <br />3.02 INSTALLATION <br />A. Install items where indicated on the Drawings and in full accord with Shop Drawings and the <br />manufacturer's recommendations, anchoring all components firmly in place. <br />B. Coordinate with electrical section of these Specifications for proper interface with electrical <br />operators and controls and intrusion alarm contacts. <br />C. Fit, align and adjust door assemblies level and plumb; provide smooth operation. <br />3.03 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING <br />A. Adjust all rollers, motors, tracks and back-up chain hoist or crank for smooth, non-binding <br />operation. <br />B. Clean and touch-up factory finished surfaces. <br />3.04 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section prior to and during installation, and protect the <br />installed work and materials of other trades. <br />4 <br />
