ACOUSTICAL WALL PANELS <br />Section 09520 <br />15-1207 <br />B. Submit fully executed Guarantee with submittal package required by Article 1.04. <br />1.06 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work. Do not place in contact with floors or walls. Panels must be <br />protected against marring, soil or damage during storage and erection. Cover the bottom of <br />panels with moisture proof materials and allow for circulation under cover to prevent <br />condensation. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict accord with the manufacturer's written recommendations. <br />D. Make delivery to job when notified by Contractor verifying that the job is ready to receive the <br />work of this Section and that arrangements have been made to properly store, handle and <br />protect such materials and work. <br />1.07 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A. The building in which the Panels are to be erected should be closed in, and in cold seasons, <br />heating should be in operation prior to installation. <br />B. Materials should be located at the jobsite for at least 24 hours prior to application so that they <br />can adjust to equilibrium in temperature and moisture. <br />C. Maintain uniform temperature of minimum 60 degrees F (16 degrees C), and humidity of 20 <br />to 40 percent prior to, during, and after installation. <br />PART 2 -PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br />A. Acoustical Wall Panels - Wood Fiber: Kerfed Acoustical Wall Panels as manufactured by <br />Tectum, Inc., Newark, Ohio, or accepted equal. <br />1. Geometric Shape: As indicated on drawings. <br />2. Size: 1" thick, width and height as shown on plans. <br />3. Surface Finish: Painted. <br />4. Color: To be selected by architect from full range of color. <br />5. Edge Shape: Beveled. <br />6. Acoustical Performance: 0.85 NRC, mounting C-20, at walls. <br />7. Incombustibility: Class "I"; Maximum flame spread not to exceed 25; Maximum smoke <br />density not to exceed 450. <br />8. Mounting Provision: Concealed vinyl splines. In addition, attach mechanically with <br />screws in ashlar pattern per manufacturer's recommendations. <br />9. Trim: Aluminum trim at perimeter edges. <br />2 <br />
