EPDXY FLOORING <br />W/ VAPOR CONTROL <br />Section 09705 <br />15-1207 <br />C. Integral base shall extend to top of concrete curb (+6" AFF) <br />General: Apply each component of flooring in accordance with manufacturer's <br />directions to produce a uniform monolithic flooring surface of thickness indicated. <br />a. Body Coat: Over Waterproofing/Vapor Barrier/Antifracture Membrane, trowel apply <br />epoxy mortar mix at nominal % inch thickness; hand or power trowel. Allow to cure <br />before proceeding. <br />b. Grout Coats: Apply two coats of grout. Sand and inspect the surface for <br />consistency. <br />c. Finish and Sealing Top Coats: After grout coats have cured sufficiently, apply finish <br />coats to produce finish matching approved sample. Number of coats and <br />spreading rates recommended by manufacturer. Final finish coat shall be in color <br />and skid retardant profile as approved by the Architect. Finished floor shall be <br />inch thick, uniform in color and free of trowel marks. <br />3.04 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING <br />A. Upon completion, thoroughly clean all exposed surfaces in a manner that will not affect the <br />finish appearance. Maintain traffic control until 5 days after installation. <br />B. Protect the floor from water, spills or cleaning for a minimum of 4 days following <br />installation. <br />C. Delay final cleaning and finishing until just prior to occupancy by Owner. Clean materials <br />thoroughly. Use manufacturer recommended cleaner. <br />3.05 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section prior to and during installation, and protect the <br />installed work and materials of other trades. <br />B. In the event of damage, make all repairs and replacements necessary to the approval of the <br />Architect at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />C.
