CORNER GUARDS <br />Section 10260 <br />15-1207 <br />1.06 REFERENCES AND STANDARDS <br />A. Title 24, Part 2, CCR, California Building Code. <br />B. Comply with NFPA 101 for interior finish materials. Smoke developed less than 450 and <br />flame spread of 25 or less in accordance with ASTM E 84. <br />C. Underwriters' Laboratories, Fire Resistance Directory, latest edition. <br />1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict accord with the manufacturer's written recommendations. <br />D. Make delivery to job when notified by Contractor verifying that the job is ready to receive the <br />work of this Section and that arrangements have been made to properly store, handle and <br />protect such materials and work. <br />1.08 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br />A. Do not install under conditions which jeopardize quality of appearance of finished product. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br />A. Stainless Steel Corner Guards: 2 -inch x 2 -inch x 16 gauge stainless steel, type 304, with #4 <br />Satin finish, as manufactured by Koroseal Wall Protection Systems or accepted equal. <br />Length to be 8'-0", unless otherwise indicated on drawings. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 SURFACE CONDITIONS <br />A. Report unacceptable sub -surfaces to Contractor for corrective action before proceeding with <br />installation. Do not begin installation until unacceptable conditions have been corrected. <br />Starting of work will indicate acceptance of such sub -surfaces. <br />3.02 INSTALLATION <br />A. Install Corner Guards on all painted gypsum wallboard outside corners. <br />B. Install to walls securely in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions. <br />C. Install accurately in location, alignment, and elevations. <br />
