SIGNS <br />Section 10445 <br />15-1207 <br />4. Glass: Utilize mounting adhesive and silicone where signs are mounted to glass. <br />Provide vinyl window sign backer to match sign face size, mounted on opposite side of <br />glass. Signs mounted back-to-back are to be matching in size. Do not pre -drill signs <br />for mechanical fastening where sign is to be mounted to glass. <br />B. Pole Mounted: Mount signs using galvanized steel carriage bolt with hex nut and washer. <br />Touch up bolt head with paint to match background. Install post as indicated in the drawings. <br />1. Accessible Parking Stall Sign: Locate sign at location and height as indicated in the <br />drawings. Center in front of stall. Provide one sign at each stall. <br />2. Parking Lot Entry Sign: Locate sign at location and height as indicated in the drawings. <br />3. Stop Sign: Locate sign at location and height as indicated in the drawings. <br />4. Pole: 2'/2" diameter x length as required or as shown in drawings. ASTM A-53, Grade <br />B; Hot -dip process per ASTM A153. <br />5. Foundations: Pole mounted signs to be mounted in 1'-0" diameter x 3'-0" deep <br />concrete footing. Hold bottom of pole 6" above bottom of foundation. <br />C. Building Signs/Monument Signs: Install using concealed anchors appropriate to substrate <br />material and construction conditions at each location as indicated in shop drawings and as <br />approved by the Architect. Individual letters shall be held off finishes 3/4 inch with spacers or <br />as otherwise shown in drawings or approved shop drawings. <br />D. Locations of all signs must be per plans and approved Shop Drawings. <br />E. Dedication Plaque: <br />1. Installation shall be in strict conformance with referenced standards, the manufacturer's <br />written directions, as shown in the drawings, shop drawings and as herein specified. <br />2. Location to be as directed by Architect and Owner. <br />3. Mounting: Concealed mounting as directed by the manufacturer. <br />F. Other Signs: Install at location as directed by the Architect. Use mounting method that is <br />permanent, vandal resistant and has been approved by the Architect. <br />3.03 PROTECTION <br />A. Protect work and materials of this Section and other Sections prior to and during installation, <br />and protect the installed work and materials of all other trades. <br />B. In the event of damage, immediately make all repairs and replacements necessary to the <br />approval of the Architect and at no additional cost to the Owner. <br />3.04 ADJUSTING AND CLEANING <br />A.
