TOILET ACCESSORIES <br />Section 10800 <br />15-1207 <br />1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver undamaged products to job in manufacturer's sealed containers and/or original <br />bundles with tags and labels intact. <br />B. Store materials in protected, dry conditions off of ground and in areas so as to not interfere <br />with the progress of the work. <br />C. Transport, store and handle in strict accord with the manufacturer's written recommendations. <br />D. Make delivery to job when notified by Contractor verifying that the job is ready to receive the <br />work of this Section and that arrangements have been made to properly store, handle and <br />protect such materials and work. <br />1.08 FIELD MEASUREMENTS <br />A. Make and be responsible for all field dimensions necessary for proper fitting and completion <br />of work. Report discrepancies to Architect before proceeding. <br />B. Verify wall depths are adequate for each item prior to ordering. Notify Architect of conflicts or <br />discrepancies. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br />A. Grab bars: Bobrick Series B-6806, Bradley 812 Series, or accepted equal; 18 ga. 1-1/2 inch <br />o.d. type 304 stainless steel welded to 1/8 inch type 304 solid stainless steel wall plates. <br />Grab bar shall withstand a 250 Ib. point load. Intermediate supports similar. All joints ground <br />and polished. Satin finish on all exposed surfaces. Concealed vandal resistant mounting. <br />Provide in configuration and lengths as shown. <br />B. Mirror: Bobrick Series B-165, Bradley 781 Series, or accepted equal; 1/4 inch thick No. 1 <br />(mirror glazing) quality, clear polished plate glass, with protective copper backing over silver <br />coating and non-metallic elastic paint. Edges protected by friction -absorbing filler strips. <br />Size; unless otherwise shown: <br />a. Middle School / Junior High, High School, College and Staff Toilet Rooms: <br />24"w x 36"h. <br />2. Safety Backing: Full size, shock absorbing, water resistant, non-abrasive, 3/16" thick <br />polyethylene padding. <br />3. Backs: Galvanized steel backing with formed edges, integral horizontal hanging <br />brackets. Provide "theftproof' concealed hangers. <br />4. Frames: Stainless steel, 1/2" x 1/2" x 3/8" channel with bright polish finish. Use <br />"theftproof' screws in countersunk holes where screws are exposed. Corners, square <br />and mitered, weld or mechanically fasten to tight hairline joint, or frame one piece with <br />rounded corners. <br />2 <br />
