FOOD SERVICE <br />EQUIPMENT <br />Section 11400 <br />15-1207 <br />F. Complete system shall be evacuated to 500 microns with vacuum pump <br />before charging the system. <br />G. Once system is charged and running, adjust all controls including <br />pressure controls, expansion valves, thermostats, and time clocks. <br />Return after 24 hours to verify proper operation of systems. <br />H. Refrigeration contractor to provide and install drain line heater with <br />insulation in freezer to be connected by the electrical contractor. <br />Refrigerant suction lines outside of refrigerated compartments, not run in <br />conduit, shall be insulated back to compressor with Armstrong Arma-Flex <br />AP -25/50 foamed plastic insulation or equal in accord with direction of the <br />manufacturer. Minimum thickness shall be W inch for commercial <br />temperature and 1" inch for low temperature. Seal all joints with <br />Armstrong 520 adhesive, or equal. Insulation exposed to the weather <br />shall be finished with two coats of Armstrong white Armaflex finish, or <br />equal. Apply insulation in strict accordance with manufacturer's <br />recommendations. <br />3. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR <br />A. Electrical contractor provide power for refrigeration package and connect <br />control and defrost system as called for in the wiring diagram. <br />B. Electrical contractor to provide 5 -wire color -coded service from the time <br />clock at the refrigeration package to blower coil in fixture for automatic <br />defrost. <br />C. Electrical contractor to connect drain -line heater in freezer. <br />D. All electrical wiring and installation shall be in accordance with the wiring <br />diagram and local codes. <br />4. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR <br />A. Plumbing contractor to provide type "M" copper drain lines for walk-in <br />refrigerator and freezer, pitched 1/2" per foot of run. In freezer, heated <br />drain line must be insulated to prevent freezing. Trap drain lines outside <br />of refrigerated space to avoid entrance of warm and moist air. <br />B. Plumbing contractor to provide individual drain line for each evaporator <br />unless otherwise called for in the plans. <br />C. All plumbing installation shall be in accordance with local codes. <br />Factory personnel shall install this assembly with written <br />certification provided by the manufacture to the Architect and <br />Consultant. <br />25 <br />
