Refrigerant piping shall be properly secured with 'Uni-Strut' clamps <br />located to conform to proper refrigerant piping practice. <br />E. Insulation of refrigerant lines. <br />F. Refrigerant suction lines outside of refrigerated compartments, not run in <br />conduit shall be insulated with Armstrong FR/ARMAFLEX22. Minimum <br />thickness of 1/2" for medium temperatures and W' for low temperature <br />units. Slitting of insulation shall not be permitted. Seal all joints with <br />Armstrong 520 adhesive, or equal. Insulation exposed to the weather <br />shall be finished with two coats of Armstrong white Armaflex finish, or <br />equal. Apply insulation in strict accordance with manufacturer's <br />recommendations. <br />6. TESTING and DEHYDRATING: <br />A. Pressurized systems with nitrogen to 300 PSI, test for leaks, after with <br />each system shall be subjected to a vacuum to 100 microns for a period <br />of 24 hours. <br />7. CHARGING SYTEM: <br />A. Provide refrigerant and oil, charge all systems and run an operational <br />check for three (3) days duration. <br />B. Work by other trades: Final wiring of connections, inter wiring of time <br />clocks and defrost relays, drain tubing from unit evaporators to nearest <br />indirect drain, building sleeves, penetrations, conduit and/ or pull boxes <br />provided under applicable General, Plumbing and or Electrical Sections. <br />C. Unit evaporators and condensing units as shown on the drawings and as <br />specified are intended as a guide only and shall be verified and installed <br />under the supervising of a competent refrigeration engineer. <br />D. Provide a metal backed baked (black and white) enamel wiring diagram <br />for the system mounted on the outside panel of the unit evaporator and <br />condensing unit. <br />E. Provide shop drawings and brochures for review, showing exact overall <br />dimensions and weights, utility requirements, all accessories and piping <br />diagrams, all conforming to all applicable codes and regulations. <br />Please note that the location of the condensing units are to be outside and are to be complete with <br />"winter controls and covers". The location of these condensing units will not exceed a distance of more <br />than 200 feet from the walk-in. Actual location to be verified with Architect or General Contractor. This <br />unit to comply with all codes and standards of NSF, UL, IC130, Class 1 material. Factory Mutual <br />Insurance System. Provide and extended warranty of all refrigeration systems. Installer to furnish a <br />complete operational system including crane if necessary to complete installation. <br />27 <br />
