ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT <br />Section 11480 <br />15-1207 <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 INCLUSION OF OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />A. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 are fully applicable to this <br />Section, as if repeated herein. <br />1.02 RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE <br />A. Section 03300, Cast -In -Place Concrete. <br />B. Section 05100, Structural Metal. <br />C. Section 05110, Miscellaneous Metals. <br />D. Section 05400, Cold Formed Metal Framing. <br />E. Section 09546, Gymnasium Hardwood Flooring. <br />F. Division 16, Electrical. <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. The following list of items was selected to establish a level of quality. Use of catalog <br />numbers, and specific requirements set forth in Drawings and Specifications are given to <br />establish a minimum standard of design and quality for materials, construction and <br />workmanship. All units are by Porter Athletic Equipment Co., unless otherwise noted. <br />B. Use only new materials and products, unless existing materials or products are specifically <br />shown otherwise on the Drawings to be salvaged and re -used. Use materials and products of <br />one manufacturer whenever possible. <br />C. All materials, components, assemblies, workmanship and installation are to be observed by <br />the Owner's Inspector of Record. Work not so inspected is subject to uncovering and <br />replacement. <br />D. Erection and installation shall be by personnel qualified and experienced in this type of work. <br />Equipment shall be installed and proofed for operations under the general guidance of a <br />qualified and experienced manufacturer's representative who shall certify the equipment <br />ready for operation. <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Refer to Section 01300. <br />B. Manufacturer's Data: Submit list and complete descriptive data of all products proposed for <br />use. Include manufacturer's specifications, published warranty or guarantee, installation <br />instructions, and maintenance instructions. <br />C. Engineering Design: Submit complete design and calculations for Basketball Backstops and <br />their attachment to the building structure. On projects requiring DSA deferred approval, <br />drawings and calculations shall be stamped and signed by a California licensed Structural <br />
