September 8, 2021
Ms. Carol Presto
Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E. HazeIton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: ARAMARK Uniform & Career Apparel, LLC - Spill Incident #COHJIVVYFO
Dear Ms. Presto:
This letter is follow-up to the notification of the spill occurring at our facility located at 7679 S.
Longe Street, Stockton on Wednesday, August 25th.
At approximately 6:00am on the referenced date, we discovered fresh water leaking from our hot
water tank discharged from the boiler/mechanical room into the northside parking lot area. A call
was placed to County dispatch at approximately 3:45pm to provide notification of the incident.
The water which collected in the parking lot did not leave the property or affect any storm drain
conduit since the "safe-drain" protection valve system was in the closed position. We estimate
250 gallons collected in the parking lot and the water was recovered by pumping into a plastic
tote and then directing the water back into the onsite wastewater pretreatment system.
We are currently working on corrective actions with the level control system on the hot water tank.
We are also improving the containment measures in the boiler/mechanical room to try and
prevent additional reoccurrence of this issue.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding regarding this issue. If you should have any
questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me at
707-601-6562.
Sincerely,
Aaron Spehling
General Manager erodur-tiori
