SAN JOAQUIN <br />--COUNTY-- <br />Environmental Health Department <br />G f Time In: <br /> <br />Time Out: <br />COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />Name of Facility: WEST VILLAGE MARINA Date: 08/04/2021 <br />Address: 6649 EMBARCADERO DR, STOCKTON <br />Owner/Operator: WEST VILLAGE MARINA LLC Telephone: (650) 369-6746 <br />Program Element: 2546 - RELEASE/SPILL RESPONSE (EXCLUDING JOINT TEAM) Complaint #: CONZYOFMJ <br />Responsible Party Contact: TIM REISECK <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />Engine oil release from a sunken boat <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />NOTES <br />SJC EHD notified by spill report 21-4059 that a boat sank at West Village Marina in Stockton. Potential release of 10 gallons <br />of gasoline. No sheen reported. SJC EHD on site on 7/29/21. Sunken boat in slip C18. No sheen observed on water. <br />Sunken boat surrounded by absorbent boom. Boat was removed from water on 7/30/21 by Tow Boat US. SJC EHD on site <br />on 7/30/21. Small amount of sheen was observed near south end of boom. Less than 2 ounces of oil from surface of engine <br />was released. Four absorbent pads were applied to sheen. Boat was towed to Tow Boat US yard at 6329 Bethel Island, <br />Bethel. Fuel on board (approximately 10 gallons) most likely will be disposed of as hazardous waste but will be determined <br />upon disposal of boat. <br />Absorbent pads and boom will be disposed of as hazardous waste by West Village Marina. Disposal record will be verified on <br />next routine hazardous waste inspection. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
