CAL OES CONTROL It. 21-1093. <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />NOTES <br />On 2/27/2021, received CAL OES CONTROL #: 21-1093 for a 0.5 - gallon spill of corrosive pesticide onto container #: FXFZ <br />974615 at 720 S B Street. The cause of spill was due to a loose plastic cap on a 55-gallon drum of Agritec <br />Algaecide/Bactericide, liquid with active ingredient Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate 19.8%. Cleanup was completed by Patriot <br />Environmental. The corrosive pesticide was neutralized to a 7 pH by applying sodium bicarbonate then cleaned up with <br />absorbent. One 55-gallon drum of hazardous waste solids was generated from cleanup. The waste was transported off site on <br />2/27/2021 as NA 3077 Hazardous Waste Solid, N.O.S. (absorbent w/neutralized Acid) 9, PGIII by Patriot Environmental on <br />manifest #: 019703741 JJK. Waste will be taken to Crosby and Overton, 1610 W. 17th St, Long Beach, CA 90813. <br />Provide final disposal record to the EHD once obtained. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and Safet <br />Code.
