Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator (Chris & Cara) <br /> 1. Large Quantity Generator <br /> A business is classified as an LQG if it meets any of the following criteria: <br /> The business generates, in any single calendar month, more than 270 gallons (1,000 <br /> kilograms/2,200 pounds) of hazardous waste; <br /> The business generates, in any single calendar month, more than one kilogram (2.2 pounds) of <br /> extremely or acutely hazardous waste (AHW) or 100 kilograms of debris resulting from the spill of <br /> an AHW; or, <br /> ® The business accumulates on-site more than 6,000 kilograms (13,200 pounds) of hazardous waste <br /> at any time. <br /> 2. Training: <br /> a. Hazard communication related to health and safety, SDS Review <br /> ® All site materials: Ferric Chloride, Arsenic Filter Cake, Diesel, Chlorine, Herbicides, Antifreeze, <br /> Latex Paint, Solvents <br /> Labels <br /> b. Methods for safe handling of hazardous substance <br /> 0 SDS Review <br /> c. Fire hazards of materials/processes <br /> P Appendix F: Action Guides, Appendix is Chemical Fire Guidelines <br /> d. Communication and alarm systems (pg. 7 and Appendix D) <br /> ® Activate internal facility alarms. Clearthe area of personnel, contractors, or visitors. <br /> * Observe! Communicate to Chris or Larry immediately, all the details. As soon as possible write <br /> down observations, update Chris or Larry of additional information. See Fast Reference Guide <br /> e.
